little red

Look at these fabrics, I mean how cute can you get?! They are from the lovely collections by Aneela Hoey. A Walk In The Woods and Sherbet Pips.

They just make me want to make things for little girls......
Like this! A new library bag for a cute niece who starts big school soon. I pretty much made this up as I went along, but I did check out this tote bag tutorial by Kerry for tips on how to put it all together with the lining sewn in. Love Kerry's work, she's a super talented and creative lady!

  1. That bag is beautiful and so cute!!! I think of Aneelas fabrics as so pretty and girly and yet my partner who is a mid 40's guy will pick my Sherbert Pips quilt out to use. He says he likes the scooter people. So I figure her fabrics are so lovely everyone likes them!

    1. Thanks Rachael. I think you're right, Sherbet Pips can be especially unisex with the scooters and dogs. I love with Aneela's collections that you can make something super girly and pink but it's easily so different using more of the greys and blues. What's not to like. I'm completely in love with A Walk In The Woods!

    1. Thank you Eileen. I made that Sherbet Pips art tote for the same niece for Christmas and she carried that thing around with her everywhere! It was very sweet. I hope she'll love this bag just as much :)
